Computex this year wasn’t a very exciting show from NVIDIA’s part (unless you’re into machine learning and AI based applications), considering the statement from NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang “Next-gen NVIDIA GPUs are a long way off”. A few promising leaks, and by putting together a few pieces of the puzzle by prediction, the specifications of the next-gen GPUs have been jotted down (though they have not been confirmed by NVIDIA). We already have the final, most promising leak, which confirms the naming of the next-gen GPUs. According to Lenovo (via Wccftech ), the next gen cards are indeed called the GTX 11 series, which means the lineup becomes the GTX 1170 and the GTX 1180 respectively. A leak (via Videocardz ) suggests that NVIDIA is inviting the press for a event that is rumored to last for a few days. While this may just be making a mountain out of a molehill, inviting the press over for just for the gameplay demos of a few new games might not be what NVIDIA has in mind. No dates or timings are available, so it is indeed difficult to predict what NVIDIA might be showcasing behind those closed doors. This press event may take place during, before or after GamesCom – nothing has been confirmed yet. We already have the predicted details for the GTX 1180, which suggests that it is indeed much faster than the existing range of GPUs. Guess Jensen’s statement about next-gen cards being “a long way off” was sarcasm after all. The po ...

Capcom's Devil May Cry 5 will be getting a playable demo that will be available to the public for the first time this August via GamesCom 2018. Devil May Cry 5 -- which was just revealed earlier this month at E3 2018 -- is apparently already in a playable state. And when you factor in the fact that the game's development is already 75 percent complete and that it is poised to hit before the end of March 2019, it isn't as surprising that a playable demo is already coming so soon after an announcement. The Cologne, Germany-based show will run from August 21 to August 25. At the moment, details on said demo -- it's content, length, etc. -- haven't been divulged. Further, it is unclear whether there is any plan to bring the demo to digital stores for everyone to play, though it seems unlikely. What this does seem to indicate is that similar demos -- if not the same demo -- could be present at future gaming shows before its release, such as Tokyo Game Show, Paris Games Week, and PSX. And even if the demo is exclusive to GamesCom, Devil May Cry fans will be happy to know that the newest installment in the action-RPG series is already at a place in development that Capcom is confident enough to show it off. Devil May Cry 5 is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It is poised to release sometime before the end of March 2019. ...
The Farm 51, the developer behind World War 3, has confirmed that the game will be playable at GamesCom 2018 in August. World War 3 was first announced nearly a month ago. The game promises a fresh take on the combined arms formula seen in Battlefield, with all the things a modern combat setting offers. World War 3 will be playable on the show floor for all GamesCom attendees, and the Farm 51 staff will be there to meet the fans. It sounds like the three locations announced so far (Warsaw, Berlin and Moscow) will all be playable. “We’re delighted to meet everyone at GamesCom and show people World War 3! It will be the first opportunity for the wider public to play the game and give feedback regarding its future,” said creative director Kamil BilczyÅ„ski. Although many are anxious to see some raw gameplay, the developer only offered a batch of new screenshots today – which you can see below. ...
