Sure, Remedy’s spooky action adventure isn’t draped over an official licence, but if feeling like a superhero is your jam then Control is going to leave you sticky as hell. (That metaphor got away from me somewhat). Protagonist Jesse Faden may not have any natural super powers of her own, but that never stopped old sulky pants Tony Stark - indeed, in the same way that Iron Man’s heroism is enabled by his suit, Faden gains her abilities from Objects of Power including the fancy, Federal Bureau of Control-provided Service Weapon. Its projectiles thump into targets with a satisfying clout that equals any of Stark’s anti-personnel munitions. They knock enemies off their feet and smear a glowing cloud of pastel-tinted smoke across the space in which your victim formerly stood. And like Stark’s suit, the weapon transforms, switching between functions - whether that’s spraying bullets, shotgun pellets, or micro-missiles - as its form subtly shifts. Faden can levitate, too. Flying is a superheroey power, right? She dances through the air like Captain Marvel (sort of), avoiding incoming fire and taking out both ground-dwelling and airborne ne'er-do-wells. It’s liberating, grin-inducing stuff even in the absence of spandex. And then there’s the Loki-style mind control she can wield, temporarily convincing enemies that they’ve made poor life choices and making them turn their guns on their colleagues. The encounter and puzzle systems should offer plenty of appeal to those who like mind-engaging games. Lionbite Games used GamesCom to announce that its first chapter of Rain of Reflections will be arriving in September. The developer also gave RPGamer the chance to check out a quick demo for the game. The demo offers a quick overview of the game’s mixture of point-an-click-style adventure and tactical stealth-based encounter system, providing an intriguing experience with a strong base to build upon. The forty-minute demo includes two parts. The first is the very beginning tutorial section of the game, which follows the chapter’s protagonist Wilona’s escape from her apartment after her high-ranking mother demands Wilona join her in the capital city and pulls some strings for a military force to escort her. The second part sees Wilona and her ally Luc attempting to get past a person living a temple, who has beef with Luc as well as his own electrical generator. Rain of Reflections takes place in the twenty-second century, a few years after all of humanity has suddenly and mysteriously been rendered infertile. Wilona herself is a scientist and is aiming to free the last-born child, who is currently held as a test subject, though the child doesn’t appear in the demo as the opening section ends once Wilona successfully leaves her apartment building in the tutorial section. As part of the tutorial players get to try out the branc ...

Over in the land of GamesCom last week, the Star Citizen crew invited some of their most loyal backers to join them for an intimate dinner in Frankfurt, where SC big cheese Chris Roberts would be present for some QnA. Iron Harvest sijoittuu vaihtoehtoiselle aikajanalle vuoteen 1920, heti ensimmäisen maailmansodan jälkimaininkeihin. Muropaketin GamesCom-messuilla saaman ensikosketuksen perusteella tuleva reaaliaikainen strategiapeli vaikuttaa jo nyt varsin lupaavalta, vaikka se ilmestyykin vasta vuoden 2020 syksyllä. Iron Harvestin aikajanalla Eurooppa alkaa vasta pikk hiljaa toipua ensimmäisestä maailmansodasta. Kansakunta on kuitenkin kyllästynyt sotimiseen. Iron Harvestin kampanja on jaettu kolmeen osaan, joista jokainen on omistettu yhdelle edellä mainituista valtioista. Yhteensä ...
How is Luigi’s Mansion 3 shaping up? Is the game looking good? Nintendo had a rather large presence at GamesCom 2019. Then, at GamesCom, the Nintendo Treehouse team showed off 30-minutes of new footage from the game, including a brand new floor in the hotel that Luigi is at. You can watch it in full below. Any new gameplay teases from Cyberpunk 2077? What does it show off? CD Projekt Red has been working very hard on Cyberpunk 2077, and they continue to tease out exactly what is coming from the highly-anticipated RPG title in 2020. The latest view into the game comes from GamesCom 2019, where a “Ghostrunner” demo of sorts was shown. It features the first-person view that the game will have, and shows off more of the world that you are in. There’s a lot to process here, including things like wall-running, how you approach enemies (and fight them) and more. As noted by the team, the game will have a ton of freedom of choice. Which you’ll get to experience when the game arrives on April 16th. The post Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Demo From GamesCom Shown Off appeared first on Anime Superhero News . ...
