Jen and Lindsay Sitting in a Tree – K-I-L-L-I-N-G At GamesCom this week, we got a look at a ton of games including the upcoming Remothered: Broken Porcelain. The new trailer appears to be a story trailer, as it does not show any gameplay and focuses on the relationship between the protagonist Jennifer and her new friend Lindsay. Broken Porcelain serves as a prequel to Remothered: Tormented Fathers, focusing on Jennifer and filling in the gaps left by the mystery of Celeste Felton’s disappearance in the first game. Jennifer goes to Flemmington Girls’ Institute, but is sent to the Ashmann Inn to work as a maid, where she meets Lindsay. The two work at the Ashmann Inn as a sort of punishment. They become quick friends, and as the new trailer suggests, they also form a romantic relationship. As the trailer becomes more grim and scary, little clips and hints are dropped that players of the first game will recognize as connecting images. We also see Rosemary Reed, who was the protagonist of the first game, in some troubling scenes. One of the villains of the first game, the Red Nun, is also seen, so we can expect to encounter her, unfortunately. Now is about the time we were supposed to get our hands on Remothered: Broken Porcelain, but it ended up being delayed by a couple of months . Broken Porcelain will be out on October 20th for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Are you looking forward to the second Remothered game? Let us ...
Playing Both Sides We know that Star Wars: Squadrons is going to center around the space combat. There are many different kinds of ships for players to fly and each of them can be customized in their own way to the players’ specifications. There will no doubt be a ton of online battles between players, but to really immerse yourself in the game, you may want to really put yourself in the pilots’s shoes, not just the cockpit. At GamesCom this week, EA showed off the Star Wars: Squadrons single player mode. In a brief gameplay preview, the trailer starts off as rebel scum propaganda! We hear a Carrie Fisher soundalike establishing a timeline of the game, setting it after the events of Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. As the Empire keeps up its fight against the New Republic, it points to the conflict that Episode VII: The Force Awakens finds itself in, though that may be some years off. We then hear from Susanne Hunka, the narrative producer for the game. She explains that players will be taking on two different roles during the single player portion of the game. Players will be given a taste of life in the Empire and in the New Republic, playing missions as respective pilots. There will also be opportunities between missions to interact with other pilots in the game, to get more of a sense of what they are all fighting for. Something interesting in the trailer is a message at the bottom of the screen at select moments that says “ ...

Alongside GamesCom, developer Cyanide and publisher Nacon are releasing more information about Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood . The brand new Cahal trailer unearths game protagonist Cahal’s past. As you may have guessed, Cahal is a werewolf, and he belongs to the Fianna tribe. Cahal is also a father who was forced into exile. Now, he must flee those he loves just to protect them from his own rage! His family includes his wife, Ludmila, and his daughter, Aedana. He is also trying to protect his best friends, Ava and Rodko, who are always there for him. The game is set to launch for PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on February 4th, 2021. Here is the brand new Cahal trailer: In the world of Werewolf: The Apocolypse – Earthblood , the antagonist is Endron, a petroleum subsidiary of a mega corporation know as Pentex. All of Cahal’s seething rage and violence stems from these evil, destructive corporate titans. Not only did they destroy his life, resulting in a deep grudge, but they also continue to be a serious threat to Mother Earth. Cahal seeks to end them in any way that he can! Werewolf: The Apocolypse – Earthblood is adapted from the horror franchise. The press release describes it as “mature, brutal, and complex”. Cahal will play a pivotal role in the great war against Pentex, a war led by Garous. Here are a few screenshots showing the game in action: The post Werewolf: The Apocaly ...
If you had a problem with some of the levels in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy , better buckle up for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time . During its presentation at GamesCom, Lou Studdert, one of the developers working on the game, focused on a new group of levels designed to push players to their limit. These new flashback tape levels are a first for the Crash franchise. In a way, they’re similar to other challenge stages you’d find inside any level in the original Crash titles, although there is one caveat. To access these levels, players will have to search levels for VHS tapes, but, if you die on the level, they won’t appear at all. There’s already a bit of a skill barrier to break through in just getting to these levels, but playing them is another story altogether. Flashback tape levels throw players back to the origin story of Crash and Coco. In these devious levels, the Bandicoot siblings are under the ownership of Neo Cortex, who, if you don’t remember, originally created the two to lead his mutated animal army. These levels are Cortex testing the pair, and they are downright nefarious. Flashback levels will be long stretches of difficult platforming. From what’s been shown at GamesCom, players can pretty much forget about floors, since there don’t seem to be many. Instead, they’ll have to rely on their ability to hop from one crate to the next, all while avoiding nitro and TNT boxes. Some new crates are being added ...
Today during the GamesCom 2020 Opening Night Live, the League Of Legends pop group K/DA announced their comeback. Which is kind of interesting because the group never really left. Much like fellow animated musicians Gorillaz, it's not as if they broke up or retired. They just simply cooled off over the past year. Now they've returned with an all-new look and songs to match. You can check out their latest track, "THE BADDEST", down at the bottom as we wait for more details on the upcoming EP release. A look at the promo art for THE BADDEST, courtesy of Riot Games. Later this year, K/DA will also release their debut EP, which includes "THE BADDEST", as well as all new tracks featuring a wide breadth of artists who will be revealed at a later date. The EP will be released from the Riot Games Music label which aims to push the traditional boundaries of music with musically driven experiences including acts like DJ Sona, True Damage, and Pentakill. "Ever since K/DA premiered their explosive track POP/STARS at the 2018 League of Legends World Championships, fans always ask what's next for the group," said Toa Dunn , Head of Riot Games Music. "We can't wait for everyone to hear the new track today, followed by the EP later in the year, which is packed with tons of surprises for League of Legends and K/DA fans to enjoy." Initially inspired by K-pop and in partnership with artists like SOYEON and MIYEON from (G)I-DLE, Madison Beer, and ...

It’s always a nice surprise when something can come out of nowhere and interest you. Such a surprise got sprung on us at GamesCom Opening Night Live earlier today with the very indie title Teardown . The game was apparently made by only 2 people who have formed Tuxedo Labs. The game in question got a premier trailer, which you can see below. The game has a very Minecraft -inspired look with the blocky aesthetic, but your goal is the opposite. Instead of building things, it’s all about destroying the environment around you. The trailer takes quite the turn when it reveals you’re doing this to plan the perfect heist. The goal of the game is to literally carve out the best path for your getaway. It’s quite the interesting turn, and you’ve got to check it out below. Teardown is planned to release in early access at some point in 2020 for PC. As of now, no other versions are planned, but should the game be successful, I imagine it could eventually come just about everywhere. ...

Little Nightmares was a surprise when it was released in 2017. The little (no pun intended) survival horror game saw you have to sneak past all kinds of massive terrors. The game was well-received and managed to sell over 2 million copies , which is no small feat (again, no pun intended I swear) for a title of its size. The game is also set to get a sequel, and we’ll get the world premiere of the gameplay soon. As announced on Twitter by host Geoff Keighley, we will see the world gameplay premiere for Little Nightmares 2 at the GamesCom Opening Night Live event. The game is said to retain much of what made the original game special, but will see bigger environments and more enemy varieties .
