LACMA's Michael Govan Speaks On Attacks At ICI Benefit: 'There Is This Beauty in Difference'

Independent Curators International celebrated its 40th anniversary on November 18 with a benefit and auction at Artbeam in New York City. The event — which honored Los Angeles County Museum of Art director Michael Govan with the 2015 Leo Award, and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam director Beatrix Ruf with the 2015 Aggie Award — attracted a number of artists including Martha Wilson, John Baldessari, Christo, and Paula Crown.
