(Mally Mal #BBN #BeSpecial) Yahoo! is discussing the 10 key questions facing top programs as practices kick off for the 2015-16 college Basketball season. Number four on their list? Can Kentucky’s three guards coexist and work together? My immature response: There’s no reason to doubt that the three guards (Jamal Murray, Tyler Ulis and Isaiah Briscoe) can work together. Yahoo! is saying “The bad news is that all three are best with the ball in their hands yet there’s only one Basketball to go around.” That should already be ruled out as we saw Ulis play off the ball last season with Andrew Harrison and Murray playing off the ball at the national level for Canada in the Pan-Am Games this summer. Personally, the three point guards are an advantage for Kentucky heading into the season, not a question mark. It’s almost impossible to press Kentucky, unless you want to get beat and then have to play transition defense. On top of that all three players are good shooters from deep, so defenders won’t be able to help off any of them, giving more space for whoever has the ball to drive to the lane. ...
