Today, we take it for granted that retailers will provide shoppers with a multichannel experience that gives them the ability to shop however, wherever and whenever they want. Traditional brick-and-mortar retailers have frantically invested in massive e-commerce platforms to compete with Amazon and eBay, while online-only retailers are starting to open physical outlets. It would go against everything we know to try to be one or the other.
