The Richfield girls Basketball program will have a new face at the helm this season, as Richfield High School Athletic Director David Boie announced Oct. 7, that Pam Quiram has been named the program’s new head coach. Pat Quiram (Photo courtesy of Richfield Public Schools) Quiram has spent six years as a physical education/health teacher with the Richfield Career Education program and was an assistant coach under former Richfield girls Basketball head coach Scott Stadem during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. Former head girls Basketball coach Kesha Ross Bradford resigned from her position earlier this year. Quiram believes her experience working with Stadem, as well as her familiarity with the students, will help set her up well for the head coaching position. “Being in the district and knowing the kids has helped me understand how the athletic system works at Richfield,” Quiram said. “Some of the kids I worked with have graduated, but they have some siblings coming up, so having them familiar with me is a really important part of it.” Quiram will be the Spartans’ third coach in four seasons. She believes that before her team can do anything else, it must fully comprehend the fundamentals of Basketball. “I’m a fundamentals coach, so I want to make sure that our fundamentals are solid and that will be something the girls coming back can help the younger girls with,” Quiram said. “I want to work hard with our kids to make sure the ...
