INDIANAPOLIS – UIC senior Connor Ryan earned a win and a save in the Flames’ series win at No. 7 Vanderbilt and has been named Horizon League Pitcher of the Week. Youngstown State’s Andrew Kendrick is the Batter of the Week after hitting .500, driving in four and scoring four more against No. 17 Georgia Tech. BATTER OF THE WEEK | Andrew Kendrick | Youngstown State | Junior | First Baseman | Springfield, Mo. Kendrick hit .500 with five hits in 10 at bats at No. 17 Georgia Tech. He added three walks and an HBP for a .600 on-base percentage, and he slugged .900. Kendrick drove in four runs, scored four times and hit his sixth home run of the season. Hit his sixth home run of the season on Sunday while going 3-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs in YSU’s 12-3 win.
