Services have been set in Northern Kentucky for a former U.S. senator and Major League Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher who died over the weekend. Longtime politician Jim Bunning died Friday night at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood from complications of a stroke he suffered in October. He was 85. Bunning, a Southgate native, won 224 games in a 17-year major league career mostly with the Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Phillies.
