JSerra’s Royce Lewis is the Gatorade state player of the year in baseball

JSerra shortstop Royce Lewis has been selected the Gatorade state  player of the year in Baseball. Lewis, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound senior, batted .377 with four home runs, 32 runs scored and 25 stolen bases this season. He was recently selected player of the year in the Trinity League for the third consecutive season. Lewis has signed with UC Irvine, but he is expected to be taken high in the first round of the MLB Draft on June 12 and might end up going directly to the pros.
