Warner’s century, which reduced the series deficit to 3-1, was a historic one as he became just the eighth batsman in ODI history to score a century in his 100th match. Furthermore, Australia finally snapped their 11-game losing streak away from home and ended India’s nine-game winning streak in ODIs. Australia captain Steve Smith would have been delighted with his decision to bat first as Warner and Aaron Finch amassed a spectacular 231-run partnership, which is the highest stand in ODI history at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
