Crappy pitching causes a Blue Jays loss

Blue Jays 4 Cleveland 13 (or so, I stopped counting). Game one was exciting, interesting, maddening, everything Baseball can be. Game two was just awful. I’ve written too many words today, so I’m not doing a real recap. Let’s just do points. The big inning did us in again. 9 runs scored against us in the 5th. Joe Biagini had 4 pretty good innings. The first couple were excellent, he had a bit more trouble in the 3rd and 4th, but only allowed a run in each. And then the roof fell in in the 5th. In the 5th he gave up a single, homer, line out, single, single and that was it for Joe. In total 4.1, 10 hits, 6 earned (two after he left the game), 1 walks and 4 strikeouts. Luis Santos came in and was far worse. He went walk, walk, double, double, walk, double, sac fly, and finally strikeout. He only gave up 1 run in his second inning of work. Why leave him in that long? Well, we used a lot of relievers in game one and we might need to have someone fresh for tomorrow’s game, so Luis had to get us some outs. Santos went 1.2, allowed 5 hits, 6 earned, 3 walks with 2 strikeouts. And, of course, he allowed his 2 inherited runners to score. Carlos Ramirez pitched the last 2 innings and he wasn’t much better. He allowed 4 walks in 2 inning (just 1 hit and 1 earned, but then Cleveland just wanted to get it over with by then). Carlos has been terrible in his short time up. Offensively we had 8 hits and 4 runs. 3 hits were homers. Yangervis Sol ...
