Source: bleacherreport.com --- Friday, February 24, 2017
University of Kansas Basketball player Josh Jackson was charged Friday with a misdemeanor count of criminal damage to property related to a December incident involving the car of a female student. Laura Bauer and Mara Rose Williams of the Kansas City Star reported the freshman guard was charged for allegedly causing damage to the vehicle at the Yacht Club in Lawrence, Kansas. Jayhawks teammate Lagerald Vick was listed as a potential witness to the Dec. 9 incident by police following their investigation. Bauer and Jesse Newell  noted in January the school determined Vick, who wasn't charged with a crime, "likely hit a female student multiple times" in 2015. The Office of Institutional Opportunity and Access recommended two years of school probation, but it's unclear whether that was enforced. It's also unknown whether Vick or Jackson have been disciplined by the Basketball program, led by head coach Bill Self, for the separate incidents. There have been no public punishments and both players have continued to play for the Jayhawks this season. Exact details about the alleged damage to the student's car in December weren't made publicly available. Vick was not charged in the case. The players were also among five Basketball players listed as possible witnesses to an alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl ...
