I have had success in creating a VHD from Disk2VHD from my Windows 10 machine and new virtual machine in Hyper-V and logging in just fine. However, that was for a Proof of Concept as I need to move on-premises machines onto the Azure Cloud and reason as Images there. Windows 2012 Server - I ran Disk2VHD , then copied the created .VHD across the network to my machine . Then I created a new Virtual Machine and pointing at the .vhd and hit Start and I get Black screen with "flashing cursor" or "blank cursor" So I'm unchecking VHDX as I figure that otherwise I will have to convert it later I believe. ...
