I've used Windows operating system for years, but recently I wanted to try using ubuntu on my PC. I've downloaded 16.04.2 iso and created installation flash drive. I have a notebook with ssd drive (256 GB) and this is the only drive on my computer. And now I'm wondering about how should I configure partitions. As far as I know unix-like (e.g. ubuntu) operating systems use something like "mount points", "swap partitions", and so on... or something like that. I mean, for Windows it was so easy: just separate drive into logical partitions, and the first one (drive C: ) should be used for storing my OS, other partitions should store my files, videos, installation files, etc. But, AFAIK, in linux world, things are completely different. Can anybody explain me, as for old Windows user, how should I understand all of these things to start using ubuntu? ...
