Now that the NFL Draft has come and gone we are drawing closer to training camps, which always brings position battles. These battles are what Fantasy owners keep their eyes on the most to give them a leg up on other owners during drafts. Year after year we see incumbent running backs consistently lose carries, if not their jobs, to younger backs brought in via free agency or the draft. This year will be no exception, as several RBs were drafted early and will put pressure on the other backs on the depth chart to perform better or else lose touches. I won’t bother to cover Leonard Fournette or Christian McCaffrey because we all know that those two backs will come in right away and be major weapons in their team’s offensive game plans. What I am focusing on here are the teams that could turn to running back committees or have a younger back coming in who could take over the job completely.
