In honor of the 113 th Fall Classic, the personal finance website Wallethub released a study examining the best Baseball cities in America. Of course, several cities, including Detroit, have laid claim to having the best fans in the U.S. But according to Wallethub's methodology, the Motor City is the 12 th best Baseball city in America. In order to produce the study, Wallethub analysts compared more than 360 of the largest U.S. cities with at least one professional or college Baseball team, grouped by division. In each city, they looked at 31 key indicators of Baseball fan-friendliness including performance level of team(s), average ticket price per game and stadium accessibility. Detroit, the home of the 4-time World Series Champion Tigers, finished just behind Kansas City and just ahead of Baltimore. New York (Yankees and Mets), St, Louis (Cardinals), Los Angeles (Angels and Dodgers), San Francisco (Giants), Arlington (Rangers), Boston (Red Sox), Atlanta (Braves), Cincinnati (Reds), Chicago (Cubs and White Sox) and the Pittsburgh (Pirates) were all ranked ahead of Detroit.
