Safe Work Australia is running a bullying seminar for Safe Work Month this October. Bullying in the workplace can lead to mental stress, absenteeism and poor productivity, and it remains a serious problem. The first virtual seminar during National Safe Work Month will be broadcast on World Mental Health Day (10 October 2017). It will feature an expert discussion panel on the topic ‘ Building a bully-free workplace ’. Panellists Commissioner Peter Hampton, Bernadette Nicol-Butler and Dr Michelle Tuckey will explore how to design a bully-free workplace, focusing on prevention and early intervention.
