If you like to express yourself with emoji, then you’ll be glad to know that Apple is giving you more emoji such as mythical creatures, clothing, food, animals, gender-neutral characters and emotive smiley faces. The tech giant announced that over a hundred new emoji will be added to iOS 11.1 when it’s released to the public. Apple has been approved to release its own version of emoji from Unicode 10 which includes a “Love-You Gesture” designed after the hand sign in the American Sign Language and the emoji previewed on World Emoji Day such as Bearded Person, Zombie, Person in Lotus Position, Woman with Headscarf and more. Apple is trying to be more diverse by adding options such as gender-neutral characters, more skin tones and country flags in its recent updates. These new emoji aren’t just for iOS users, Apple has announced that they will be available for its other operating systems such as macOS and watchOS in an upcoming update.
