Day after day, people tend to take on life with an agenda or tunnel vision-like focus rather than dedicating time to letting in the outside world. When it comes to our interactions with Windows in particular, we often treat the glass lookouts as ways to bring in light, open up a room, see the great outdoors from the condensed inside ones, or we don’t even notice them at all. With Windows as his focal point, urban landscape and commercial photographer Antonio Jaggie (professionally referred to as Kosten ) lets the towering transparent structures reflect the surrounding world rather than be used as a human prop or forgotten artifact. Synonymous with the act of watching reflections dance on the surfaces of water, Kosten hurdles viewers into unknown yet familiar worlds with his mirrored window imagery. With great attention to how the sun hits each building facade, his photographs give depth to seemingly see-through window structures. In some shots, the Windows appear completely absent, revealing the completely exposed interior space. Other images showcase abstract puzzles and patterns created by intense reflections against the glass.
