An investigation by Major League Baseball into transgressions committed on the international market has already resulted in the resignation of general manager John Coppolella and special assistant Gordon Blakeley. Could more resignations be coming? USATODAY’s Bob Nightengale reports that MLB’s investigators are looking into how widespread the Braves ’ transgressions were within the organization. John Hart still is unsigned for next year and #MLB investigators exploring how widespread the #Braves transgressions were in organization — Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale) October 4, 2017 Nightengale also reports that Hart is unsigned for next year but that has been know for quite some time and at this point isn’t relevant. The word is that Hart is planning on staying with the club in some capacity next season and has assumed GM duties since Coppolella’s departure. Of course if the investigation were to turn up new info implicating more front office officials then it could change but at this point Hart’s status doesn’t seem to be part of this story. The Braves are expected to make an announcement sometime this week on the status of manager Brian Snitker. That announcement could come as soon as today with reports saying that he is likely to return for the 2018 season. ...
