We have a requirement for a monitoring and alert system for Windows servers (physical + Hyper-V), however this is for managed networks which are airgapped and contain no email facility (and never will). Most of the marketing these days focuses on cloud based systems, with mobile platform support and email alerts, but these features are valueless to us. We need a system with a web console front end that can be checked periodically by sys admins. Potentially (although i haven't seen this as a feature anywhere) a client based alerting system would be useful (so Windows client machines used by admins would receive alert pop-ups about server events). But just a web front end (the administrators need to be proactive). We need to monitor events on physical servers such as HDD warnings, temperatures etc. Also software events such as Windows OS event logs; value-added is Oracle and SQL monitoring. Can anyone recommend something you've used that fits the bill? Thanks ...
