• Australia 132-6; England 127-7 - Australia win by five runs • England batting crumbles again after bright start from openers For the third time in consecutive World Twenty20s, England’s race was ended by Australia. This time, it was in the semi-finals. Previous defeats came at the final hurdle but this one, by five runs, might smart the most. It was a familiar tale for England at this World T20: a simple run chase complicated by a loss of nerve and poor decision-making. Only this time they were unable to get out of jail. What at one point was 66 needed off 60 balls, with nine wickets in hand, mutated into 13 needed from the final over.
