Xbox Australia Women In Games Scholarship detailed

Xbox Australia and MCV Pacific have today confirmed details for the Women In Games GDC 2018 scholarship. Following its announcement late last week in conjunction with the return of the MCV Pacific Women In Games Lunch presented by Xbox, further details of the Xbox GDC scholarship are now available. The scholarship will be awarded to the female developer who receives the highest number of votes from our industry judging panel in the ‘Trailblazer’ award at this year’s MCV Pacific Women In Games event. This award recognizes young talent who has worked in the local games industry for under three years and exhibit skills or attributes that work towards the betterment of the industry. All previously submitted entries for this year’s list and awards, that fit the criteria will be included. You can click here to submit a nomination for yourself or a colleague prior to 5:00 PM AEDT, today, March 31. The scholarship will include flights, accommodation and daily per diam for meals at the 2018 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. The winner will participate in the Women In Games event at GDC as well as a variety of activities as a part of Microsoft’s Game Changers program. This year’s program saw 20 US women sponsored to attend GDC, taking part in a host of activities, including the lunch and access to mentors within Xbox.
