Labeled internationally as “Australia’s virtuoso of acoustic roots and blues,” guitarist Nick Charles is set to perform at the Mission Viejo Council Chamber at City Hall from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. Charles’s style includes dazzling melodic fingerpicking on six- and 12-string guitars, stinging bottleneck slide and a lifetime of stories and songs gathered on the world’s musical highways. He has also been awarded the winner of the Australian Song Contest twice and has won the Australian Blues Awards “Album of the Year” and “Solo Performer of the Year” multiple times. His music encompasses a mix of acoustic roots, blues, folk and early ragtime jazz. Tickets are $30.
