Chris Stapleton, Queens of the Stone Age and The Avett Brothers to Headline Tempe’s Innings Festival

Chris Stapleton, Queens of the Stone Age and The Avett Brothers are headlining the first-ever Innings Festival in Tempe, Arizona, an event created to celebrate both music and professional Baseball’s annual spring training. The Innings Festival is scheduled for March 23-25 at the Tempe Beach Park & Arts Park. It’s being put on by C3 Presents, the Live Nation-owned shop behind Lollapalooza and the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Live Nation announced the lineup this week, which also includes Counting Crows, Young the Giant, The Head and the Heart, The Decemberists, Dispatch, Cold War Kids, Local Natives, Lord Huron, Sylvan Esso and more. There also will be culinary demonstrations from local top Chef Beau MacMillan, formerly of the Food Network, food vendors, family events and appearances by professional Baseball players from a handful of teams. The Innings Festival wants to attract music lovers and Baseball fans from Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Oakland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Texas to watch their favorite teams go through Arizona Spring Training. “The Innings Festival is the perfect combination of music, Baseball and the amazing location of Tempe Town Lake and downtown Tempe,” said Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell. “Thousands of Cactus League fans – locals and visitors alike – will be able to come to experience the gorgeous weather, beautiful setting, great food and aweso ...
