pWATERTOWN — State police have charged Indian River Baseball coach Lloyd K. Smith with violating a court order when he attended the same event as a player he allegedly placed in a chokehold earlier this year./ppState police spokesman Jack Keller said Mr. Smith and the boy were both at a Sept. 9 softball tournament held in honor of slain Trooper Joel R. Davis. Trooper Keller said the boy left, feeling intimidated by Mr. Smith’s presence./ppCharges were filed after the boy’s mother consulted with state police and the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office./ppMr. Smith, 46, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 8:10 p.m. Monday at the state police barracks in Pamelia. He was later released with an appearance ticket for Philadelphia Town Court./ppMr. Smith’s defense attorney, Anthony M.
