Amblin Entertainment and producer Steven Spielberg are teaming up with Apple to produce a reboot of the classic 1980s anthology series Amazing Stories . This was one of my favorite shows to watch when I was growing up and I'm actually excited to see how this new series turns out. The project was originally set up to air on NBC, but now NBC is teaming up with Apple to bring the series to life. The show is being developed by Bryan Fuller ( Hannibal, American Gods ), which gives me hope that this reboot will actually be good. Jennifer Salke , President, NBC Entertainment, who oversees Universal TV had this to say in a statement: “It’s wonderful to be reunited with our colleagues Zack and Jamie in their new capacity at Apple. We love being at the forefront of Apple’s investment in scripted programming, and can’t think of a better property than Spielberg’s beloved Amazing Stories franchise with the genius of Bryan Fuller at the helm and more exciting creative partnerships to come.” The first season of the anthology series is expected to get a 10 episode run. At this time, there are no details of how or when this series will launch. One thing that I don't want to see from this series is a remake of any of the stories that were already told in the 80s show. I hope that they tell some new supernatural and sci-fi tales to keep things fresh and new, like a continuation of the old series. We'll just have to wait and see how this new Amaz ...
