Tried to book my half LX/half LH global fare today as usual every year through the LH call centre in Australia - never a problem, they get to LX in Australia and price up the fare - only problem is they wont do it anymore!!!!! Will only book entirely LH fares Apparently accroding to the LH call centre in AU lufthansa has nothing to do with Lufthansa Gruppe and their unpublished rules dont concur with the LX and LH fare sheets published online - so called back to book an entirely LH fare to/from EU via USA No widebody to Israel so I have to purchase another ticket with Swiss to get to TLV. I cant schlepp on a narrowbody from EU to Israel ! This completely defeats the purpose of LH Gruppe's Global Combineable fares And when you call LH in DE they dont have access to LX/LH Global Fares from Australia so you cant book it at all - online booking doesnt work - shade shade shade!!!!!!! Anyone have any recommendations on how to book this, apart from paying a travel agent and paying extra commission on top of the 6% commission bult into the LH/LX fares? ...
