I installed Sophos Virus Removal Tool yesterday on my HP laptop running Windows 10. Ran software, no virus's detected. I also installed CCleaner, and cleaned. After installation I turned my laptop off, and router off, like I always do. When I rebooted this morning, I had a new Ethernet adapter installed, Npcap Loopback Adapter. Should this be there? Is it from the Sophos product install and I didn't notice yesterday? I don't have a network set up, but have been getting hacked a lot recently so worried it was installed maliciously to monitor through VPN (also disabled). Can I get more info? ...
