Hello, I am a brand new ubuntu user and so far I love it, with one exception. My wifi connection is pretty terrible in proportion to what I got before I switched from Windows. On a solid ethernet connection I get around 500 down, 50 up, on both ubuntu and Windows, and on the regular wifi connection I would get around 250/50 on Windows. On ubuntu so far I have gotten speeds around 1.5 down 1 up over wifi which is terrible compared to before. To clarify my router is a duel band 2.4ghz/5ghz router, so there are two separate wifi channels to connect to and ubuntu only picks up the 2.4ghz one, which if I recall, I got the 5ghz one on Windows. Like I said, I am new to linux, so if I need to provide you with information from the terminal I will provide you with it as fast as possible. Network controller: Ralink corp. RT5390R 802.11bgn PCIe Wireless Network Adapter Thank you! ...
