So how did this power couple end up in the real estate biz? Gary, who retired from Major League Baseball in 2009, is currently a sports agent. Meanwhile, DeLeon—a gospel singer who, at age 8, became the youngest artist ever nominated for a Grammy—has found her second act by opening her own real estate brokerage. From there, the couple have teamed up to turn their past talents into real estate gold. Here’s what our sneak peek at the premiere episode of “Sheffield Real Estate” taught us about how real estate works. Real estate agents can flourish off referrals Tampa is gaga over sports. It’s home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL), the Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL), and the Tampa Bay Rays (MLB). And it’s also home to six MLB team spring training camps, plus a number of minor-league franchises.
