La semana que viene podremos explorar océanos alienígenas con la llegada de In Other Waters a Switch y PC

Source: www.vidaextra.com --- Tuesday, March 24, 2020
Aunque ...

Gamescom 2020 Cancellation Woes Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

Source: segmentnext.com --- Monday, March 16, 2020
GamesCom 2020 is the next annual gaming convention to possibly come in the crosshairs of the worrying coronavirus outbreak. According to an update posted by the organizer on Twitter earlier today, the health and safety of all attendees will always take top priority. GamesCom 2020 is scheduled to take place several months ahead in late August and as such, the event has not been cancelled or postponed. However, the organizer will continue to evaluate the situation “on a daily basis” and will “follow the recommendations of the responsible authorities” in the matter. A short update on the current situation: pic.twitter.com/nZH3qMMVvj — GamesCom (@GamesCom) March 16, 2020 Last week, a month-long state-level blanket ban was issued on all major events in Cologne with more than a thousand participants. Considering how the coronavirus outbreak has only spread deeper across the globe, the duration of the ban may possibly be extended. Cologne is where GamesCom 2020 will take place in the months to come. Unless the ban is lifted, the event is as of now cancelled as it is. The organizer wants to make it clear that if the situation remains the same by August, “all ticket purchasers of the official ticket shop will be reimbursed for the already paid visitor tickets” by the company. Last week, organizer and Entertainment Software Association (ESA) confirmed that the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 2020) would be cancelled . ESA had pre ...

Gamescom 2020 still planned for August but coronavirus situation being ‘monitored daily’

Source: www.kitguru.net --- Monday, March 16, 2020
Just one week ago, GamesCom announced the first set of exhibitors for this year’s events but with the coronavirus situation constantly evolving, a lot has also changed in the last week. E3 has officially been cancelled and other events have also been axed. For now though, GamesCom 2020 is still going ahead as planned in late August. Since the City of Cologne, where GamesCom is based, has officially banned major events of 1,000 people or more until April 10th, an updated statement needed to be constructed. Currently, GamesCom is not affected by this decree as the event takes place in late August, giving the organisers enough time to prepare and hope that the coronavirus situation takes a turn for the better. Here is the full statement : “We are currently receiving enquiries about how a possible threat from the coronavirus could affect GamesCom. We take this topic very seriously because the health of all trade fair visitors and partners is our top priority. On 10.03.2020, the City of Cologne banned all major events with more than 1,000 participants up to and including 10.04.2020 on the basis of a decree issued by the state government on the same day. Since GamesCom takes place at the end of August 2020, we are currently not affected by this decree”. “However, we will of course follow the recommendations of the responsible authorities regarding major events, evaluate them on a daily basis and make our decisions after careful consid ...

Gamescom Is Still Going Ahead For Now, Coronavirus Threat Being Evaluated "Daily"

Source: www.nintendolife.com --- Monday, March 16, 2020
Official statement provided. With the likes of E3 2020 , GDC , and more major gaming events all being postponed or cancelled by the threat of the coronavirus outbreak, the first half of the year is looking a little bare. Naturally, then, all eyes now fall to GamesCom which is currently planned for August. The event organisers have issued an official statement on the matter this morning, addressing concerns raised by those interested in attending. At present, the trade fair will be going ahead as normal, with legal requirements in its host city of Cologne only forcing large events up until 10th April to be banned. Gamescom 2020 Preparations Continuing Despite Coronavirus Concerns

The show must go on. GamesCom 2020’s not scheduled to start until 25th August, so it’s not currently in the crosshairs of the coronavirus. Of course, the world is in a state of uncertainty right now, and that could quickly change if the disease doesn’t disappear over the coming weeks. The organisers of the Cologne-based event have admitted that preparations for the show are continuing as planned, but that it’s keeping a close eye on current events. “Should GamesCom be postponed or cancelled by the Koelnmesse, all ticket purchasers of the official ticket shop will be reimbursed for the already paid visitor tickets,” the organisers explained in a social media statement . “We look forward to you and your participation.” Read the full article on pushsquare.com ...

Source: www.thesixthaxis.com --- Monday, March 16, 2020
Koelnmesse has confirmed that as of now GamesCom is currently being planned and will be going ahead unless the situation around coronavirus and public notices change. GamesCom takes place in Cologne, Germany and the city recently banned all events with more than 1000 attendees. This ban is in place until April 10th and GamesCom itself will not be taking place until the end of August. That is plenty of time for the situation to change for the better for now, though with events such as E3 and GDC getting cancelled as well as hosts of other events globally GamesCom may suffer the same fate. A short update on the current situation: pic.twitter.com/nZH3qMMVvj — GamesCom (@GamesCom) March 16, 2020 The statement put out by Koelnmesse reads: Dear Community, We are currently receiving enquiries about how a possible threat from the corona virus could affect GamesCom. Gamescom 2020 still going ahead with Microsoft, Nintendo, CD Projekt Red and more attending

Source: www.kitguru.net --- Monday, March 09, 2020
GamesCom is on track to take place once again this year, with plenty of publishers, developers and platform holders confirming plans to be there. Beyond that, Geoff Keighley will be hosting Opening Night Live to kick off the event again this year, so we can expect some surprise announcements from studios across the industry. The elephant in the room currently is the Coronavirus outbreak, which has caused several events this year to be scrapped or postponed. There is concern around whether or not E3 will go ahead in early June, but with GamesCom taking place towards the end of August, there is extra time to monitor the situation. Currently, GamesCom is scheduled to take place from August 25th to August 29th this year.

Source: www.vidaextra.com --- Friday, March 06, 2020
