What are Apple fans going to do with all of their standard 3.5 mm celebrity branded headphones that aren’t equipped with Bluetooth technology? The folks at Mashable stumbled upon what seems to be a leaked video from a Vietnamese company who are manufacturing dongles for the iPhone 7 that will allow users to use so-called ‘outdated’ headphones with a 3.5 mm. The dongle attaches to the phone’s lightning port which means it’s proprietary to Apple. Despite the dongle being tiny, it is yet another item iPhone users will need to bring them when they leave the house. It’s bad enough that battery life is atrocious especially when playing a certain popular game causing iPhone users to carry wall chargers, lightning cables, and portable charging devices with them so they can go about their day without a dead phone, but now they will need to tote this with them as well, and seeing the size of it, it looks like it will get lost in your bag instantly. I'm running Audiophile Optimized Windows 2012 in Core mode. I usually listen to a Jriver/Jplay combination using my own ripped files but lately have been enjoying Spotify for background listening. At reboot, Jriver/Jplay I start manually from a cmd line, but since I installed Spotify, it starts automatically on reboot. That's fine BUT, if I start play music from Spotify, it seems to take control of my DAC and I can't switch over to play stuff on Jriver. The only way to give the DAC back to Jriver is to close Spotify. Then Jriver plays fine. I'd like to be able to switch back to Spotify occasionally, but for the life of me I cannot find where the start command is in W2012. Checked all the usual program files and appdata folders. Only option is to reboot and let it autostart again. Anyone have any idea? ...

Disney Infinity is done and it's nearly time for Avalanche Software to pull the plug. The game will wind down in stages, starting today with the discontinuation of in-game purchases in the PC, iOS, Android and Apple TV versions of Disney Infinity 2.0 , though in-game purchases are still available (for now) in the Steam edition of Disney Infinity 3.0 . On September 30th, the PC, iOS and Android versions of Disney Infinity will disappear from their respective stores and current players will no longer be able to log into the game. Apple TV players will still be able to access the game, but it will be removed from the actual App Store. Disney Infinity 2.0 and 3.0 will remain available on Steam, though online and community features will be disabled. Most importantly, Toy Boxes will be no more -- the Community team will cease reviewing and accepting new Toy Boxes across all console, mobile and PC versions. However, Apple TV and Windows 8 or 10 players will be able to download existing Toy Boxes through March 3rd. In-game purchases will disappear from Windows 8 and 10 editions on January 3rd. And then comes the big shutdown: On March 3rd, Apple TV and Windows versions will no longer be playable or available, and all online services for all installments will be discontinued. Windows 10 version 1607 "Anniversary Update" has reduced the control via Group Policy that you have in Pro edition. Pro edition users have lesser options available compared to version 1511, so many behaviors of the OS cannot be controlled. If you open the Group Policy management console and read the description of certain policy settings in Windows 10 build 14393, you will find out that the options mentioned below are NO LONGER AVAILABLE for Windows 10 Pro users. They are locked down to Enterprise and Education editions only: The ability to disable the Lock screen In Windows 10, the Lock Screen displays fancy backgrounds and some useful information like clock, date and notifications. It appears before you can pick a user account to sign in. When you lock your computer, again you see the Lock screen. The Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum and Boyhood Home is sponsoring the Aug. 6 game. (AP) — Three black women’s Basketball players are suing a small southwest Missouri college, alleging they were treated differently than white players before they were kicked out of the school without justification. The women, all from Kansas City, filed the lawsuit Tuesday against Cottey College, a women’s college of about 350 students in Nevada (nuh-VAY’-duh). Breauna Carter, Amalia Harris and Dajanae Wilson received athletic and academic scholarships to the school for the 2015 school year. Surfers in Kingscliff Beach, Australia helped save a stranded baby humpback whale on Wednesday. Beached on the rocky shoreline, surfer Blair McDonald and his friend Dylan Masarin were two of the first to come across the calf. They looped a rope around its tail to drag it back out. “We actually ended up dragging it around the rocks and once we got it into deeper waters, we thought it was all good and then up the beach it beached itself again,” McDonald said. A second attempt was made with the rope with a similar outcome of the calf beaching itself. “We dragged it out again and it turned around and beached itself again; obviously it was confused and hurt,” said McDonald. Australia maybe has the most good waves of any country in the world. Indonesia would probably disagree but they don’t have many good beach breaks so what fun is that? Australia has a wonderful assortment of beaches, slabs, points, etc. and Harry Bryant likes to sample them all. He recently strapped on a little-bit-thicker Zion Westuit and headed to the bottom portion of NSW in search of some southern hospitality. He was greeted with a plethora of waves, most of them good, some of them great. My one question is, what the hell are this kid’s ankles made of? He’s landing airs that look better suited to skateboarding than surfing, and half the time he’s stomping them straight in the flats. Let’s just hope his orthopedist never sees this. That’s what makes Mark Fox opening up his practice gym to watch the Bulldogs Thursday afternoon and Saturday morning a rare behind the curtain look. The team leaves Sunday for an exhibition tour of Spain. Kirby Smart is opening up the stands in Sanford Stadium on Saturday Aug. 6 to view a practice as part of the team’s Fan Day. That follows the format that Alabama used when Smart was there as defensive coordinator. “That’s kind of the way I’ve done it in the past and to be honest with you that’s what I’m comfortable with,” Smart said. “When it comes to our fans, I want them to feel comfortable with our players, get around our players, get to meet our players, get to watch them practice.
