La gamescom aura droit à son édition à Singapour

Source: www.gamikaze.com --- Thursday, May 30, 2019

New PS3 slim already for 300 Euro technology giant Sony made a big secret to the release of the successor to the PlayStation 3 (PS3) in recent months. It finally happened on the GamesCom in Cologne and the Group presented the PS 3 slim. The consumer portal preisvergleich.de presents the new model. The compactness of the new game console (www.preisvergleich.de/ price/games-consoles/90) is striking. For other opinions and approaches, find out what Hyundai has to say. The rectangular shape of the predecessor model gives way to a housing of the brand square, practically, well”. Practical and good, not least because of its matte surface. The piano paint coating of the classic PlayStation 3 was significantly more sensitive than the new model to fingerprints and dust. Regards the dimensions of the PS 3 slim, so she has slimmed down compared to its predecessor by good three inches. Thus, the device despite built-in power supply is less than the Xbox by Microsoft’s. The stronger competition for Sony, however, is from the House of Nintendo. Continue to learn more with: Harold Ford Jr . The game console is Nintendo Wii already to have less than 250 euros and so cheaper than the PS 3 slim. With 300 euro, Sony’s new model is while around 100 euros cheaper than its predecessor but still 50 euros more expensive than the Nintendo Wii. An investment that can be quite worthwhile because of the built-in Blue-ray player. Just for movie fans, the mo ...

Ghost Games Confirms No Need for Speed at E3, But Gamescom Likely

Source: www.gtplanet.net --- Thursday, May 30, 2019
While there is indeed a new Need for Speed coming by the end of 2019 , you won’t be seeing it next month. Developer Ghost Games has confirmed it won’t be debuting the as-yet-unnamed sequel in LA for E3 and Electronic Art’s own EA Play in June. The news comes from a new Under the Hood entry — strangely enough, not on the official NFS site, but EA Answers . Here, community manager Ben Walke re-confirmed that a new title is in fact releasing this year. He also pointed out that 2019 is a special one, as the franchise turns 25. Talking about what players can expect from the next title, Walke confirms that customization will remain an essential part of the equation: “We’ve also thought a lot about what NFS means to you, and perhaps more importantly what we hope it will mean as we move forward. Cars naturally top the list. You could say that the cars and customization of NFS are the beating heart of what we do. Without either of these, NFS fails to exist as we know it. These two elements play a pivotal role in the series and are two aspects that we consider to be foundational, meaning they aren’t going anywhere because NFS wouldn’t exist without them.” Walke goes on to say that traditions “can also be broken, and new ones forged.” He continues, stating that the team won’t be attending the big events in June, and that it’s focused on delivering “a truly memorable” title. But wait, why GamesCom? Well, for starters, it’s a solid two month ...

Gamescom Expanding to Asia in 2020

Source: www.ausgamers.com --- Wednesday, May 29, 2019
With the event set to take place in the Suntec Singapore Convention Center from October 15 to 18, 2020. Expanding from Europe, where the event attracted over 370,000 people in 2018, GamesCom Asia will feature a similar setup of industry and public days. With industry going first. It's expected that a similar focus on upcoming games, esports events, and community activities will play a major role alongside being able to place a focus on Asian titles. No doubt publishers in the region will definitely be there alongside the majority of hardware manufacturers located in nearby countries. And with Singapore being a lot closer to Australia than Cologne, Germany it could be a great event for ANZ folks to attend too. The sheer size and scope of GamesCom is something to behold. It is after all, the largest gaming event in the world. Source. ...

SINGAPORE, 30 May 2019: GamesCom, the world’s largest computer and video games festival, will make its Asian debut in Singapore 15 to 18 October 2020. This marks a major win for the video games and esports industry in Singapore. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between STB and Koelnmesse, Wednesday, to mark a new partnership for the upcoming festival. Organised by Koelnmesse and sponsored by game, the Association for the German Games Industry, GamesCom has been held in Cologne, Germany annually since 2009. Over the past decade, it has grown to be the largest international games festival and Europe’s leading business platform for the games industry, with over 300,000 attendees every year. The staging of an Asian edition in Singapore is in line with Koelnmesse’s key strategy of growing its global competence in digital media and entertainment. “GamesCom is a brand with a worldwide reputation that stands for both games as the largest entertainment medium of our time, and for outstanding business opportunities. With GamesCom asia, we are creating a new event in 2020 for the local games industry and gamers in one of the fastest-growing regions of the world. gamescom Asia Announced For 2020, Taking Place Of GameStart Asia

Source: gamermatters.com --- Tuesday, May 28, 2019
GameStart Asia returns for 2019, but will see a change of name in 2020. Southeast Asia’s biggest gaming event will now be branded under GamesCom next year. GamesCom is the biggest trade show event in Europe, and has open doors for the public to attend, something E3 only started to adopt. The expansion to Asia should get more eyes to see the region being a big part in the game industry, and possibly even bigger news and announcements as it breaks here first. As such, GameStart Asia as the event is known right now will have its last hurrah this year on October 12 and 13th. But the organisers are still open to host Game Start Asia outside of Singapore. GameStart Asia was first held in Singapore in 2014. Last year, it has started branching out with more events spread around Southeast Asia. Source: GameStart ...

Today. it’s been announced that GamesCom asia will debut in 2020 in Singapore! The event is slated to run from October 15 to 18, 2020. Here’s what Koelnmesse Singapore Matthias Kuepper had to say about GamesCom’s first foray into Asia: “This is a launch event that we are all looking forward to. The region has been hungry for a Tier One gaming event and we now have all the ingredients to successfully cater to this need. Blizzard is Skipping Gamescom 2019

Source: www.mmogames.com --- Wednesday, May 01, 2019
It is time once again to add to the list of “WTF is Blizzard thinking?” list that we’ve been collecting this year. This time it’s the news that Blizzard is skipping GamesCom 2019. Now, there might be a lot of people, especially those in North America who aren’t familiar with GamesCom and why Blizzard’s absence is so noteworthy. GamesCom has 370,000 visitors with 1037 exhibitors making it by far the largest gaming event in the world. In comparison, E3, which is often thought to be the biggest and most important had just 69,000 attendees in 2018. GamesCom has, in the past, been a very important location for Blizzard themselves. It is where they’ve debuted some of Overwatch’s most beloved animated shorts and World of Warcraft expansions. They’ve also often giving players the first chance to play new content for games before they’re released. However, with nothing big and new to show off this year it clearly isn’t worth the cost for Blizzard to attend. We can only imagine how much it costs for Blizzard to go to GamesCom. In the public area, they take up nearly if not actually half an entire hall. In the business area, the Activision-Blizzard area is half of one floor of a hall. They send a huge team of developers from California and let me tell you, the cost of hotels in Cologne during GamesCom is insane. So, on the surface, it may seem totally insane for Blizzard not to be attending…it actually makes a lot of sense. Plus, GamesCom ...

Blizzard is skipping Gamescom this year but Blizzcon 2019 will go ahead

Source: www.kitguru.net --- Thursday, May 02, 2019
Amidst all of the drama that Blizzard has gone through in the last 9 months or so, the studio has maintained that its goal going forward is to double down on game development for current and future projects. In order to avoid distractions towards the end of the Summer, Blizzard will not be attending GamesCom in 2019. Blizzard skipping out on GamesCom is a bigger deal than it sounds. The event pulls in hundreds of thousands of European gamers who don’t get the opportunity to attend E3, PAX or Blizzcon. While there won’t be an appearance this year, Blizzard hasn’t ruled out a return to Cologne in the future. “As part of a renewed effort this year to maintain our focus on development, for our current games and our future projects, we won’t have a booth at GamesCom 2019”, Blizzard’s statement reads. “The show is an important one for the European and global gaming community, and we’re going to miss meeting players in Cologne this year. Blizzard explains decision to skip Gamescom 2019

Source: www.denofgeek.com --- Wednesday, May 01, 2019
Rob Leane May 1, 2019 Preferring to focus on developing titles, Blizzard has announced its decision to not attend GamesCom The makers of World Of Warcraft, Overwatch and Diablo III will not attend GamesCom this year, it's been confirmed. Blizzard has announced its intention to skip the massive trade fair in Cologne, which is taking place between the 21st and 24th of August. See related  Blizzard has no major releases planned in 2019 EA is skipping E3 2019 press conference PlayStation: Sony is skipping E3 because "the world has changed" 2019 seems to be a big year for companies skipping events, with EA and Sony both opting to avoid the E3 conference in June. The days of companies having a presence at these events every year, as a given, seem to be done. Of course, cancelling plans and staying at home is one of the purest joys in life, but there is a bit more going on here. Rather than showing up when they have nothing new to wheel out, a lot of companies seem to be prioritising development time over snazzy presentations this year. This certainly seems to be the motivation behind Blizzard's skipping of GamesCom, with the company posting this statement on their website to explain the situation: "As part of a renewed effort this year to maintain our focus on development, for our current games and our future projects, we won’t have a booth at GamesCom 2019.
