Braden DeSonia rapped a two-run single in the second inning and the Mt. Spokane Wildcats (4-0) posted a 4-1 victory over the visiting Gonzaga Prep Bullpups (2-2) in Greater Spokane League Baseball action on Monday. Cole Hattenburg tossed 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to get the win. ––Riley Whelan tossed four scoreless innings and the Panthers (4-0) earned a 3-1 victory over the visiting Bears (0-4). Austin Reed’s two-run double in the second inning provided the winning margin. ––Dalton Dawson had three hits with two RBIs and the Shadle Park Highlanders (3-1) notched a 7-5 win over the host Ferris Saxons (2-1). ––Kyler Hillman singled home the tying run, Darrin Blockman scored the go-ahead run on Ryan Schmitz’s fielder’s choice in the fifth inning to guide the Lewis and Clark Tigers (2-2) to a 7-5 win over the visiting Rogers Pirates (0-4). ...
