A full slate of games in Major League Baseball for today, with the Cubs having the traditional early game and everybody else doing battle under the lights. San Francisco at Cubs: The Cubs are -205 with Holland and Hendricks getting the start and while the pitchers have allowed close to the same number of runs, I have the Cubs -190, as they’ve had a tendency to hit lefties well in the early going of the seasom. St. Louis at Pittsburgh: The Pirates are -120 in this one, where I have Musgrove -143 over Gant, so another pass right out of the gate. Washington at Miami: The Marlins put their perfect 0-10 record with Urena on the mound on the line tonight, as Washington and Scherzer are -255 and I made this one Nats-270, so another pass. Mets at Milwaukee: The Mets are up to -125 with Syndergaard and Guerra the starters and I have New York -109, so another easy pass. Cincinnati at Colorado: After a solid start to the season, Romano has been roughed up a little bit his last two starts, which is one reason Gray and the Rockies are -185 in this one. Gray has been nothing special for the Rockies and the Reds are actually outscoring Colorado this season, so I’ll have to grab Cincinnati +170 in this one. San Diego at Dodgers: Clayton Richard has put together several decent starts in a row and the Dodgers haven’t fared all that great against LHP this season, scoring 2 or fewer runs in 8 of their 17 games.
