One woman has gone to extreme measures to save her place in the queue for Apple’s new iPhone 6s by setting up a droid so she can continue working instead of waiting in the cold. Lucky Kelly is currently third in line at Sydney’s Apple store and plans to be the first droid to buy the latest iPhone when it goes on sale on Friday morning. ‘It’s so busy at work and I was caught between wanting to the first to buy an iPhone and fulfil work duties,’ Ms Kelly told Daily Mail Australia. She said the media agency she works for – Atomic 212 – had a number of the robots in the office. ‘I thought it would be funny to sneak one out and put it in the queue,’ Ms Kelly said. ‘A guy has been there for 17 days, but I’m third in line. I’m obviously in a lot better position because it’s raining and cold outside.’ While Ms Kelly has been able to keep up with emails and housekeeping at work, she has been a little distracted by the number of people stopping to chat to her through the droid. ‘A couple of people thought I was Siri. I was like, no I’m Lucy,’ she said. ‘A lot of people have said it’s really cool.
