Who are the players who have submitted the best numbers so far in the 2016-2017 Philippine Basketball Association Philippine Cup? Calvin Abueva, despite having played in just four of the past six games of the Alaska Aces, led the team in Statistical Points to make it to No. 7 in the Best Player of the Conference Statistical Points Standing. The Alaska forward finished with 134 statistical points which was good enough for No. 7 behind June Mar Fajardo, Terrence Romeo, Alex Cabagnot, Japeth Aguilar, Mac Belo and Arwind Santos. Abueva led the Aces in rebounds and was second to Vic Manuel in points scored. Manuel was top scorer among the Aces and second to Abueva in rebounds. Manuel, at 16th place in the standings, was the only other Alaska player in the top 25 in statistical points. Among the Aces rookie Carl Bryan Cruz was third in rebounds and tied with RJ Jazul for first in steals. Cruz was the fourth ranked rookie in statistical points behind Mac Belo, Matthew Wright and Jio Jalalon. Despite an undermanned lineup, with players coming in and out of the roster because of injuries, the Alaska Aces have won three of six games to share sixth spot in the standings. Tied with Alaska at sixth with identical three wins, three losses records are Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, GlobalPort Batang Pier and the Star Hotshots.
