A white high school Football player was forced to issue and apology after a Snapchat went viral. Why? Because of the caption that referred to a Black cheerleader at his school as the ‘n’ word. The Root reports: Tyler Tackett , a student at Western High School in Russiaville, Ind., posted a Snapchat showing him, a fellow student and two cheerleaders. Apparently, Tackett felt some kind of way standing next to the black cheerleader and called her the n-word. Soon after the photo went viral, Rick Davis, the school’s principal, denounced the image on Twitter and expressed disappointment: Highly offended & disgusted by a hateful post by 1 of our students. Totally unacceptable & it will be addressed. Deepest apologies to all. — Rick Davis (@WHS_Panthers) December 14, 2016 Tackett then posted an “apology” to his Instagram account that stated: Today I said something unforgivable and what was said can’t be taken back. I know that I have hurt people and I know that I need to be held accountable for what I have done. I would like to apologize to all of Western School Corporation and all of the students and faculty. I know that I have made all of you ashamed. I would like to apologize to the Colts as well, I realize that I have offended your program.
