Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider program, announced on Twitter that the company would not release a new Windows 10 build this year, as the development team is preparing for the Christmas holidays. Dona explained that the existing builds compiled internally aren’t running well enough to be shipped to users, and getting new builds ready requires too much time. The Windows team will obviously get some days off during the holidays, and given the work that needs to be done before and after the release of a new build, shipping new bits to insiders is impossible “No more builds this week. We don’t love the current options and don’t want to leave you in a bad state during the holidays,” Dona announced. “And this also means no more builds for 2016.
