The recent purchase of the club by Gérard Lopez, which was approved by the Football financial watchdog DNCG last night in terms of transfers, means that the owner has very little time to make his stamp on the club in this transfer window. One deal has already gone through in the early hours of this morning. Anwar El Ghazi signed for Lille a few minutes ago, for a reported fee of €8m, from Ajax. El Ghazi had the following to say: “As soon as I started talking with the club, I had a very good feeling. I cannot wait to start. I saw the trophies when I arrived… I know that Kluivert and Hazard played here, those are big names, that makes Lille a big club.” The 21 year old joined on a 4.5 year deal. Get French Football News believes that there are up to 6 more players that could transfer to Lille by the end of today. They include: 1 | Júnior Alonso (central defender, €4m, from Cerro Porteño, passed a medical last week) 2 | Gerson (central midfielder, loan deal with €18m option to buy, from AS Roma, due to complete medical today) 3 | Gabriel (central defender, under €4m, from Avai, medical tests complete) 4 | Agim Zeka (attacking midfielder, as yet undisclosed fee, from Skënderbeu). More to follow from Lille. ...
