iPhone 8 to Drop Lightning Port for USB-C [WSJ]

Apple is planning to unveil a new iPhone with an OLED display and will replace the Lightning connector with a USB-C connector, according to a WSJ report. Reiterating previous reports, sources tell the WSJ that Apple plans to release three iPhone models this year. Two models are set to feature traditional LCDs and the third one will have an OLED screen. Most notably, Apple is said to be replacing the Lightning connector in favor of USB-C.
