When Microsoft introduced their new HoloLens, they believed that they had finally gotten the jump on Apple with mixed reality. It was something that they could tout was there's alone and miles ahead of Apple. After entering the hardware market with 'Surface Pro' to challenge the iPad, the Surface Book to challenge the MacBook Pro and the Surface Studio to challenge the iMac, they've yet to make a dent in Apple sales. So the HoloLens was supposed to be the Next Big Thing for Microsoft. Then came Apple's WWDC 2017 and Apple pulled off a shocker with their new ARKit and a demo from Wingnut AR that blew everyone away. For sure it was a surprise left hook Microsoft never saw coming. ...
