A recent investors call with Battlefield-publisher Electronic Arts revealed that the upcoming GamesCom 2017 will feature new Battlefield 1 content premiering exclusively at the show. Battlefield 1′s In the Name of the Tsar expansion was shown off at E3 2017, where its September release date was first announced. EA CEO Andrew Wilson revealed that new maps and modes for the shooter would be revealed at the show, although the executive didn’t specify that they were part of the In the Name of the Tsar expansion. There is still some content not yet revealed for the September expansion, which could be what goes down at GamesCom, but the reveal could just as easily involve Battlefield 1 DLC coming further down the line. Several maps for In the Name of the Tsar have already been detailed, most recently being Brusilov Keep, which was shown off with the help of popular Battlefield YouTuber Jackfrags. The full release of the expansion and its maps is set for September, but premium members will get hands on the DLC early. This will likely be around the end of August, shortly after GamesCom, which begins on August 22nd. Players can look forward to two more expansions dropping after In the Name of the Tsar: Turning Tides in December 2017 and Apocalypse in early 2018. ...
