Windows is a great operating system, but just like any product of its kind, it is not without flaws. One error that it seems to encounter recently and that more than a few users have noticed so far is that of the screen blinking when a laptop running Windows 10 is plugged in. As you can notice, this error is pretty specific, and screens went back to normal when the laptop was no longer plugged in. So it’s clear that there is an error at hand here. Here is how you can fix it in five easy steps. Press these keys The first step that you need to take is first press Win+R, and then type powercfg.pl in the Run bar that appears. Then, press Enter for the command to be accepted. Change plan settings Now you’re in the Power Options window. What do you do? Well, click on the option that reads ‘Change plan settings’, and set it on the currently active power plan. Change advanced power settings Now you will be redirected to the ‘Edit Plan Settings’ window. At the bottom of it, click on ‘Change advanced power settings’. Then the window that you actually need to enforce changes is will open. Actually change settings Now it’s time to actually change your settings. The settings that you need to change are those for Display Brightness. Choose the same percentage for ‘On battery’ and ‘Plugged in’. these can be whatever you like, 50%, 100% or some other custom number ranging from 1 to 100.
