LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky Baseball’s 50 th and final season at Cliff Hagan Stadium will feature a wide array of promotions and giveaways for fans in celebration of its closing season. Big Blue Nation will have an opportunity to receive a ceremonial last pitch ball ( May 13 ), commemorative stadium print ( May 12 ), mini batting helmet ( April 27 ), rally towel ( April 3 ), UK popsocket ( March 23 ) and more. Additionally, there will be a raffle to win a UK retro jersey on April 19 , UK jersey koozie collectors set and trading cards. Quantities are limited and early arrival is recommended. Once Southeastern Conference play begins on Friday, March 23 fans will be treated to postgame fireworks on Fridays (beginning April 6 ), the opportunity for kids to run the bases on Saturdays and Wildcat autographs on Sundays. Kentucky will begin the 2018 season where it left off a year ago, as a top 10 team with plenty of buzz around the program. Baseball America , the longstanding staple of collegiate and prep Baseball, ranked the Wildcats no. 8 in its preseason poll released on Tuesday . The No. 8 ranking is the highest ever for Kentucky in Baseball America ’s preseason top 25 poll.
