The back-to-back champs on the diamond are getting some more recognition. Iconic Teams Highlight Hall of Fame Class (Oregon State Athletics) The Oregon State Hall of Fame added some new members to it’s hallowed halls earlier this week, highlighted by the addition of the 2006 and 2007 Beavers Baseball teams, which claimed back-to-back National Championships under head coach Pat Casey. The school also inducted two volleyball teams and three iconic student-athletes to the 2018 class, as well. The official induction ceremony will take place later this year on October 19th. 2018 WNBA Mock Draft: #12 Overall - Marie Gülich (DraftSite) Beavers center Marie Gülich may have had her fantastic college career end on a sour note at the hands of Louisville, but it’s most certainly not the end of the road for the talented 6’ 5” stand-out. According to DraftSite.com, Gülich is being projected as a late first-round pick in the upcoming WNBA Draft, in which she’ll be selected by the Phoenix Mercury. Beavers look to end Civil War losing streak (Gazette Times) There’s apparently another university that the Beavers share the state with and as far as softball goes, Oregon State hasn’t been able to beat that squad in quite some time. Let’s just leave it at that. However, the ladies on the diamond are hoping to change their luck starting on Thursday afternoon, when they host a top-five Ducks team in Corvallis.
