The dust is only starting to settle following E3 last month and now the industry already has its eyes on GamesCom 2019. One of the first games teased for a big reveal in Cologne this year is Disintegration, a sci-fi shooter from new studio V1 Interactive . The studio’s debut game will be getting a proper showing on August 19th during GamesCom’s opening night. For V1 Interactive, this is Seattle-based studio’s debut title and is scheduled to release in 2020. It is being published by Private Division the recently-formed label owned by Take-Two Interactive (2K Games, Rockstar). The team at V1 is comprised of video game industry veterans and was co-founded by some of the creator behind SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs, as well as the king of sci-fi shooters, Halo. Here’s what president, Marcus Lehto, said about today’s announcement: “The opportunity to create not only a new game, but this entire studio has been exhilarating. It is great to be able to share what this amazing team has been working on, and we can’t wait to introduce this new game that our team is building to the world next month.” Right now there really isn’t much to go on apart from that teaser trailer which in itself gives very little away. The thirty second video gives us a close up look of what appears to be a spaceship or drone prepped for battle.
