Kerbal Space Program 2 is delayed until ‘Fall 2021’

Source: www.kitguru.net --- Sunday, May 24, 2020
Kerbal Space Program 2 was announced at GamesCom last year with an initial ‘early 2020’ release date. Before the year came to an end, the game was pushed back to ‘Fiscal Year 2021’, putting the release date in a April 2020 to March 2021 window. Now, things have taken another turn, with the developers pushing the game back further. This time, the news comes straight from the Kerbal Space Program 2 developers, rather than a Take-Two investor call. According to the statement from the dev team, COVID-19 is a key cause for the delay as it has presented “unique challenges”. Heads up Kerbonauts, we've a message from mission control for you. #KSP2 pic.twitter.com/aa1aTEloXG — Kerbal Space Program (@KerbalSpaceP) May 20, 2020 Now, Kerbal Space Program 2 is scheduled to release in Fall 2021, a fairly big push from the original release date announced just last year. The developers will be using this extra time to “iterate, create, test, and make KSP2 as great as it can be”. There is no word on if this delay will cause changes to the platforms the game comes to, as the Xbox Series X and PS5 will be out when the new release date rolls around. Previously, the game was confirmed for PC, Xbox One and PS4. KitGuru Says: With the current outbreak situation, delays like this are to be expected. Hopefully the Kerbal Space Program 2 team remains safe and can deliver a solid game later in 2021. ...
